Orshy Mulqueen is known for her impressionistic watercolour paintings. Her style is ever evolving, focusing on unusual abstract transparent effects. She is adventurous, easily expressing her feelings through paint. With acrylics she now adds bold colours and energetic brush strokes to her work. She hopes her art speaks to you as it does her.
Mulqueen's love of nature, plays a huge part in her art and also in her eclectic creative lifestyle. She finds solace in the tranquility and beauty of nature, especially since losing her husband to cancer, and it inspires her to paint. Her love of the outdoors led her to plein-air painting and she has pursued lessons in Mexico and in France, the heart of French impressionism.
Mulqueen exhibits her work in galleries and Art-Walks in Toronto. She is a Board Member of the Toronto Women’s Art Association.
