I went back and picked up on a few old paths I had been following. I veered off those roads and now they called me back. It felt very right to pick up those again.

As those roads called, a few art pieces called me back. I re-worked these pieces. I scrapped off the wax and added colours, mineral paints, charcoals, inks. A call to finish, to complete.

The new piece ‘Contemplation’, mixed media on reclaimed wood was born of the theme that was this year. Contemplation: The practise of being fully present-in heart, mind and body, to what allows you to creatively respond and work toward what could be; the exploration of meaning, of purpose and values riding the storms that come, the chaos that precedes rebirth, the dark waves. Diving deep to flow through the chaos to make it to the other side.

‘Life’ mixed Media on reclaimed wood. This piece is a continuation of the Goddess series.
Technically not a Goddess..but symbols of life itself. The 4 directions, the elements, the So Above & the So below, sacred geometry and ancient ruins. The burst of life, of creation, masculine, feminine, darkness and light.
